Menendez, Pascrell & Payne @ Essex HQ.

by: FogerRox

Sat Oct 07, 2006 at 10:46:33 PM EDT

Essex County Menendez HQ, West Orange NJ, Saturday, October 7th, 9:30 am.

Senator Menendez spoke to a packed room. The now familiar story of how he testified in a MOB trial, wearing a bullet proof vest, which is the basis of the Kean charge that he was involved with corruption back in the day. Just... as a prosecution witness, not as a defendant. The senator spoke of the debate, which Kean backed out of last week, untill a new set of polls came out showing Menendez up by 7 to 11pts. Then of course Kean wanted back into the debates. SO the debate for Sunday, tommorrow, is on. Senator Menendez promised us some revalations to come, I can't wait. Unfortunately I was not able to get a pic of the Senator.

Next up, was Rep Donald Payne SR. unopposed, my rep. Which is why I am active in another district,,,, NJ11... Tom Wyka.

Donald Payne Sr.

Then came Bill Pascrell, who has token opposition, and will probably get 75% on election day. Pascrell has come on strong recently stating that he voted for the Iraqi war, but has changed his mind, "I pledge to you, I will get the kids home from Iraq". Bill Pascrell has a great voting record supporting vets, the VA care system & Quality of life issues for Military Familes. Bill was on fire,

Here's Bill Pascrell referencing the great movie "NETWORK" & doing a "I'm mad as hell & I'm not going to take it anymore" impression.

Here's Bill Pascrell talking about not just winning 15-20 House seats but maybe 30 seats.

Sunday I am video taping at an with Senator Menendez and Tom Wyka. I am hoping to have that dumped to you tube by Sunday evening.

When the campaign season started there were about 20 seats within democracy's grasp. Now, thanks to Republicans jerking off in the halls of Congress, that number has doubled. There's a lot of work to do. A breif drive through west Essex, especially on I-280 exits and entrances indicates the Republicans are winning the sign war. This has to change. Let's get some volunteers to county headquarters and make our candidates' names more visible.
We should take nothing for granted and challenge tradtional Republican strongholds that may seem impossible now but can only be won by fighting for them. Good things don't come easy.
Tom Wyka is in an uphill battle against entrenched and wealthy Republican, Rubber Stamp Rodney Frelinghuysen.
Support Tom Wyka any way you can, because not only does he deserve our support, he's also the future of Democratic politics in this part of the State. One precinct, one county, one district at a time: a government of, by and for the people will once again be accountable to the voters.
Now of we can only get rid of electronic voting and count all the votes in public view.

Restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.

... is me.

I shot some video while I was there, and posted it on YouTube.  The links are here:

(yes, I already posted that link before, as a comment to a different message here, but as this one is more relevant, I thought it would be OK to post it again)

Also, I've more video of Pascrell & Menendez for other events which I hope to get up on YouTube soon.
